This summer we attended the City Hall presentation on our landfill crisis. We were shocked to see that the only solution they proposed in depth was incineration. Their own data presented incineration as the most expensive option for waste disposal. It also omitted any mention of the human and environmental effects burning garbage has.
As long time advocates of composting, Good Judy knows that Toronto has the infrastructure to make our composting and recycling even more effective. So why isn't city hall exploring alternatives?
